Fun Preschool Games For Your Children To Enjoy

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

As kids are full of energy and love to play games there is no better way to spend quality time with them than by playing a fun preschool game that has some educational value to it. Engage your child’s mind while helping to enforce basic abilities in a fun and exciting way for both you and your child to enjoy!

Try Out Different Versions Of Bingo

Start a round of Alphabet Bingo with your children. The boards have capital and lower case letters that will help your child build on their reading abilities through letter recognition and by saying the sounds that each letter on the board makes.

Another great form of Bingo is Colorful Shape bingo. This fun game for preschoolers is always a hit as children identify 8 different shapes in 11 different colors to win prizes.

For a bit of a challenge introduce your children to another language with Spanish Bingo. Each square has a picture in it and below the picture is its name in Spanish. It is never too early to introduce your child to another language and this fun preschool game is a great way to do it!

Get Creative And Make Your Own Fun Preschool Game

For this fun preschool art project you will need to create cards that have a picture of one animal on each card with another card having a corresponding picture of its tracts. As the kids will be handling the set of cards that has the pictures of the animals on them consider using heavy duty paper or card stock and laminate them! Once the cards are made you will want to gather your children in a circle and capture their attentions by telling them a story about animals. You can create a story about visiting the zoo or about hiking in the mountains, just keep it interesting so you do not lose their attention. Give the children the pictures of the animals and then begin to tell the story. When you get to “bear” do not say the word but show them the tracks and let them find the pictures of the bear to match them. Feel free to give them a few hints or replicate a bear sound! This fun preschool game will also help to encourage sharing and team work as the kids work together to pick the correct animal to match the tracks!

Making Preschool Math Activities Fun

Friday, July 18th, 2008

Anyone with preschool children knows how important it is to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. This can be done in a number of ways, but the best way to do it is through preschool games. Children learn best when they are having fun, especially when they do not realize that an activity is designed to help them learn. Here, we will take a look at different ways to turn preschool math activities into games.

Use Everyday Tasks

Preschool math activities can be incorporated into just about anything you and your child do. For preschoolers, counting is going to be the most involved they get in math. A good idea is to get your child involved in things that you would normally be doing anyway, like household chores. When it’s time to clean up the house, you could have your child pick up their toys and count them while they are doing it. You could also ask them how many toys of a certain color there are. You can turn just about all of your household chores into preschool math activities.

You can also come up with different games that double as preschool math activities. Flash cards are a great way for children to learn their numbers, and they’re fun too. The game could be as simple as having your child tell you how many fingers you are holding up. Simple board games are also good because your child will have to count to move around the board.

Money is a good thing to use for preschool math activities as well. You can not only strengthen their math skills, you can teach them about how money works as well. Your child can begin by counting coins, and as they progress, they will have a better understanding of money and how it works. You can also begin teaching your child how to be responsible with money.

As you can see, it doesn’t have to be anything structured like you would find in a classroom. Preschool math activities are everywhere if you pay attention. If you do want something a little more structured, you can find a sea of information online for you to use with your preschooler. You can download lessons, or just browse for ideas. You should have no problem finding something that you and your child will enjoy. The important thing is to stimulate your child’s mind and get them as prepared as you can for the years to come. You can definitely give them a head start on things they will be learning as they go on.

Using Preschool Online Learning To Help With Education

Monday, July 7th, 2008

When it comes to the education of your child, there is nothing worse then not paying attention to what he or she is going through and what they are learning. Even if he or she attends a regular preschool setting, there is probably a good chance that there is still a lot that could be learned from some preschool online learning through games and activities. A lot more parents are starting to add some preschool online learning into their day and schools are using an online preschool curriculum.

By bringing some preschool online learning into the life of your child, there is no doubt that a lot can be learned from the entire experience. You do want to make sure that the games are the right ones for the age of your child. By trying to force a child to complete games and activities that are too far advanced for them, you are making it worse and maybe even setting them back a bit. There is nothing wrong with sticking to age appropriate preschool online learning games for the time being.

Keeping Track Of Your Kid

The last thing you want to do is use the preschool online learning games and such as your babysitter. There is nothing good that can come from this, as the Internet is full of things that are just not safe for such young children. In order to protect their best interest, you should make sure that you are with them at all times while they are using the computer. Preschool online learning games may still be a little tricky for your child if he or she is not all that great with the computer yet.

You also should be using this time as a bonding moment for the two of you as these are the times that help build and mold who they are as people. Also, it is important that you really know what is going on in the life of your child so that you are not left in the dark. Playing the preschool online learning games with your child will also help show him or her that you are really interested in them and what they are learning about. This will help build their self-confidence up and this can be such a wonderful thing. Be a true part of what your child is doing and they are sure to thank you for it in their own special way.

Getting The Most Out Of Online Preschool Learning Games

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

When that time comes that you feel that your son or daughter is ready to start exploring the computer by using online preschool learning games, you are going to want to do a little research first. It is very important to make sure that the preschool online learning activities that your son or daughter is playing are right for their age and are actually games that he or she is going to learn from. Children this age are far too young to be using the computer as entertainment only.

Even though most children will only see the fun that comes from playing the online preschool learning games, you will know that there is a lot more to it all. Find games on the computer that are best suited for your little one and they will be off to a great start. The best thing to do is to actually sit down yourself, without your child, and look through all of the different online preschool learning games yourself. This is the best way to weed through what you do and do not want your child playing on.

Finding More Games

If you are having a little trouble finding the best of the best when it comes to online preschool learning games, you may want to consult your child’s teacher to see if they have any websites to suggest. More in likely the preschool teacher will know a thing or two about the different online preschool learning games as the children may have played a few in the classroom at different times. If they are not able to help you out, ask your friends who have children if they know of any decent online preschool learning games. They may be able to point you in the right direction and maybe even give a little advice.

If that still is not giving you what you are looking for, start thinking of the different cartoon channels that your son or daughter watches and find their websites. There is a pretty good chance that these websites will have some online preschool learning games on them. Basically, if you really look hard enough, you are bound to find exactly what you are looking for when it comes to some free online preschool learning games for your little one. Whenever you find them, make sure that you are spending time with your child playing them so that you will be involved with what he or she is actually learning from these sorts of games.
