As you plan a nursery, be sure that this room is a place that baby will always be safe and secure. There are a few important considerations to make sure that the baby is always healthy, happy and safe.
A baby safety monitor will allow you to know when the baby is awake without ever opening the nursery door. Baby safety monitors are available that offer both sound and video signals or sound alone. You can hear what’s happening in the nursery but the baby cannot hear you. As soon as the baby is awake, you can be in the nursery so that he or she is never unattended.

So it kind of stops many of us from doing this. But, you should know that they aren’t as expensive as you may believe them to be. In fact, they are often quite cost-effective. Most will work quite well within your budget, purchasing items wisely within your budget.

So you’ve bought the crib – congratulations! But now you must be wondering what bedding you’re going to put in it. A large number of bedding sets will include many different items, but you might find that you don’t really need them all. The most up-to-date recommendation for crib bedding is to use sheets only, and keep other bedding out. Leaks will happen, of course, so buy a few extra crib sheets. It’s better to spend your money on a few really good, durable, and comfortable crib sheets than on accessories you don’t even need.

We had nothing else to do yesterday, so we decided we’d better go pick out the crib bedding. I was sure it would be easy; we’d already chosen the brown and pink theme. I was convinced that the task would be complete within the hour, after all, we only had to look at a couple of choices and pick one. When we got to the store, they told us they don’t sell baby bedding (maybe we should have called ahead to find out…). At the next store, we found baby bedding, but brown and pink was mysteriously absent. I thought that was strange, because I was certain that brown and pink were hot nursery colors. I couldn’t believe it when even the third store we visited didn’t have what we wanted. We went home and Jack suggested we look online. I’ve never liked the idea of shopping online, but I was getting desperate. It was surprisingly easy AND we found exactly what we were looking for: Maya baby bedding! So of course the first thing Jack said after that was, “Why didn’t you do this in the first place???”
